GTA at SAE  Congress, April 20-23, 2009    COBO HALL in DETROIT

GTA at SAE Congress, 2008:

GTA at SAE Congress, April 14-17, 2008                                                                                                      Global Tooling Alliance attended its first SAE World Congress 2008, the international showcase of the latest in automation and industrial technologies, held on April 14-17, 2008 at Cobo Center, in Detroit, MI.  We are pleased to announce that this year's show was a great success, and would like to thank everyone who came by our booth and shared this innovative experience with us.

The theme of this year's Society of Automotive Engineers World Congress, hosted by Chrysler, along with Borg Warner as a Tier 1 Strategic Partner, was "Inspiration" for "A Climate for Change," an expanded perspective influenced by an outstanding technical presentation and represented a significant opportunity to enhance brand and product visibility, promote new and existing products, generate leads and drive sales.

Thirteen GTA members were present at the SAE Congress this year:  ArtCraft Pattern Works, Westland; Century Tool & Gage CO., Fenton; Commerce Industries Inc., Wixom; Elite Mold & Engineering, Inc., Shelby Twp,; Exceptional Mold & Engineering, Inc., Romeo; Falcon Industry, Clinton Township; Focus Mold and Machining, Inc., Grand Rapids; Maple Mold Technologies, Inc., Rochester Hills; RTS Cutting Tools, Clinton Township; Saginaw Machine Systems, Inc., Saginaw; Top Craft Tool, Inc., Clinton Township; Vicount Industries, Inc., Farmington Hills; Wright-K Technology, Saginaw.

"During the day that Commerce Industries attended the SAE show the teamwork of the GTA was extraordinary, the wealth of knowledge and experience seemed to truly benefit all visitors of the GTA booth", said Larry Pashnick, Director of Marketing and Sales at Commerce Industries, and Detroit Tiger pitcher 1982 & 1983.  "Commerce looks forward to following up on the supplied leads, which will ultimately be the measurable of success.  Commerce would also like to extend their thanks to those who set up and dismantled the booth (looked great!), as well as to all participants.

"As a member of the GTA attending the SAE World Congress, it was refreshing to be able to offer such a wide range of technical experience," mentioned Dean Conrad, Project Manager at Vicount Industries, Inc.  "We were able to generate leads across our local services and also to engage in discussions inquiring what "Global" services does GTA offer.  There were a lot of inquisitive and encouraging feedback concerning our Global Tooling Alliance and as we further develop our strategic partnerships, how "Global" should we become?"
